2S Michif Community Support program

The Two-Spirit Michif Local recognizes how difficult this holiday season is, especially for those who have lost work due to the pandemic, or are otherwise underemployed.

We are offering a short-term community support program for existing local members (members registered with the 2S Michif Local as of December 6, 2020). The program will provide $100 gifts to ten individuals or families in financial need (to a total maximum of $1000).
If you are presently in financial need, please send an email to [email protected] to apply to the program. The deadline to apply is December 16, 2020 at 5PM.

We will try to distribute the funds before Sunday, December 20.

  • If less than 10 members indicate financial need, we can augment the payments (capped at $250 per individual/family).
  • If more than 10 members indicate financial need, we will contact them to learn more about the degree of need to ensure that the program supports those with the greatest need.

The program will prioritize 2SLGBTQ+ members of the Two-Spirit Michif Local.
